Contest Theme: “Share an interesting perspective: interview someone about a topic in your niche”

Contest Prompt:

Before you consider who you want to interview, start with a topic question. Take a look at some examples below.

BE CREATIVE!

Topic:

  1. Travel: How does travel change people for the better? What are some specific trips that were memorable or life changing?

  2. Food: What’s the story behind someone’s favorite meal? Who taught them to make it or where do they go to eat it, and why does it matter to them?

  3. Sports: Why do we love sports? Why are they important?

  4. Wellness: How did someone find a way to calm down, stay positive, or feel strong during a really stressful time?

  5. Teen Life: What’s a big issue or experience teens are facing right now?

Possible people to interview:

  1. Family

  2. Friends

  3. Teachers / Coaches / Staff of school

  4. Industry experts or professionals (just send them an email and ask for a Zoom interview)

Structure:

  1. Instead of just a Q & A, write a blog post that integrates the information you learned in the interview.

Deadline:

Due November 30, 2025 at 11:59pm

Guidelines:

Prizes:

  • 1st place: $25 + 2,000 points

  • 2nd place = 1,000 points

  • 3rd place = 500 points

You will submit your draft just like any submission (use button below). We will still ask you to edit it, but as long as you get your draft in by the deadline you are entered into the contest.

Winners always announced 10 days after deadline.
