Is AI Cool to Use?
Do not use AI for homework, or you will be in big trouble.
Al is not OK to use for homework and school. I used it once and it did not go well. Last year, I was doing RSM (Russian School of Math) homework when a very hard question came up. A dog was running to a cat at 7 mph, and the car was running away at 4 mph. How many minutes will it take for the dog to catch up to the cat? Because I was too lazy,
I just asked Chat GPT to tell me how to solve it. I did get the answers, but I got caught by my parents.
“Ryan! Why is there no explanation for your work?! Tell me the truth or no video games for a month.” I know I did a bad thing, but I learned my lesson, so just read people! Do not use AI for homework, or you will be in big trouble.
Most importantly, cheating is bad for students. According to Meazure Learning, “If allowed to continue, cheating behaviors can be habit-forming. Even if a test-taker feels that cheating is wrong, they may be tempted to engage in cheating behavior on a specific exam or assignment that is of significant value to their degree or program.” I agree with this statement because cheating without any approval is not good. If you do it in high school, you may not be able to go to college.
But there are some good things that go with using AI. According to Microsoft, the good side of AI is that it can help with advanced analytics. “AI can analyze massive datasets at incredible speeds, helping humans extract valuable insights and identify trends faster and easier than ever before.” This helps businesses make more safe and better choices.
Now, the bad side. According to Summit Learning Charter, "Cheating in school has always been a problem in K-12 education and in university settings. Cheating is bad for teachers. It makes their jobs harder and it undermines the important work they do.”
People may think AI is smarter, it may give out some false information, and for society, it could lessen human interactions. For example, instead of just asking your friend or your boss at work, you may just keep on asking AI, so it is not good to be just talking to Al constantly. So after all I wrote, Is AI cool to use? Well, like I said, I think AI is not OK to use for work or school either. However, it may be perfect for real life jobs and business when we get older.
