The Rhino’s Dilemma
The story of a rhino who had a bad day.
All the rhino wanted to do was wallow in mud but he was stuck playing this miserable chess game with the genetically modified Doogie mouse because of his friend, the langur.
The Sumatran rhino was having difficulty moving the pieces because his odd-toed ungulates were too muddy. It was a good help to have the Langur around.
“Oh golly, dear gentle Langur, please advance the pawn to E5.”
The langur gently stroked his sideburns before moving the pawn for the rhino.
The loquacious Doogie mouse said, “The Doogie mouse would like some delicious tea and crumpets, please, but also I require assistance moving the rather weighty pieces? Can you move the knight to H3.”
The langur moved the piece, as the rhino said, “Well, here in the jungle we have dried lizards with tree sap tea. Would you care for some of it?”
“I prefer crumpets over dried lizards, but tree sap tea sounds delicious.” Then the two animals left the langur and the chess game to drink tree sap tea and wallow.
