Top 5 Crochet Patterns to Try
Save some time searching endlessly for crochet patterns and try these five I’ve chosen for you!
Every time you want to crochet the hardest part is finding patterns. As a crocheter I also think that too. Every time you go onto Pinterest or other places to find patterns, I always think to myself about how the pattern might be hard for me or the pattern is just not free. Just because of this part, I sometimes give up and don’t crochet. So I decided to find patterns that I would want to try or what project I could recommend to others. So after going through Pinterest, I found 5 patterns that people can make.
1. Crochet Hook Case
A crochet hook case can be not only useful but it is not that hard to make. As a person who made this already using black and white yarn, even though it takes a bit to make each part of the hook case, it is worth it. Some cons about the project are that it is time consuming and for people who don’t like projects that are repetitive and take really long, this pattern wouldn't be for you. But if you are okay with it it is a great choice. Not only do the patterns have a video for you to watch, it would help you improve in sewing projects together.

2. Flower coaster
A crochet flower coaster is not only fun to make but it is also useful in daily life. You can put your cup with warm hot chocolate or cold ice latte. I also tried making it but I thought the flowers were a bit hard to do and a bit confusing so if you are a beginner I would not highly recommend you to make this. Even though it is a bit hard, when you finish making it and fold it, it does look really good. But instead of giving up, you should lock yourself in your room, put on the tutorial and stay up until you finish it– even if you don’t go to sleep until 6am.

3. Crochet ferret
I have never tried crocheting a ferret but I would totally want to try it since you don’t have to do any sewing. It also has a video you could watch which would be really helpful since sometimes you might not understand a pattern that much. But a con about this crochet project is that you also need eyes and stuffing. Unlike the other patterns I recommended, this pattern needs a bit more supplies but other than that I think this pattern is a fun pattern that would make a cute little ferret. They are also better than real ferrets since they don’t smell.

4. Crochet axolotl
Another pattern that I have tried and thought that it wasn’t that hard was this axolotl pattern. An axolotl is a salamander and they live in lakes and wetlands in southern Mexico city. I personally don’t like how axolotls look but in this pattern they are much cuter. The only part that was a bit difficult was the fins near the axolotl’s head. Two other things I didn’t like about the pattern was that it didn’t have a video and how the pattern was only on Instagram so people who can’t use Instagram wouldn’t be able to make it. But other than those two things I think the axolotl turns out cute and is pretty easy to make.

5. Crochet Boo Bear
Do you think ghosts are scary? Well, actually they are not, they are very cute. This last pattern is the crochet boo bear. It could be a great decoration for Halloween but it doesn't always have to be made because it is a holiday. I would also try making it since it looks really cute. But some of the problems about the patterns is that it is only on Instagram so if your parents don’t let you use Instagram you would not be able to make it. One other problem about this pattern is that it doesn't have a video tutorial so if you are a beginner it might be confusing.
