Challenge #4
Write with more concision.
To be concise means to be brief. Edit your articles to cut away any extra fluff that might distract the reader.
Harold Bloom, one of the most important literary critics of our time, says that “Great writing is rewriting”.
Editing and proofreading is where the magic of great writing takes place, not necessarily in the first drafts, but in multiple drafts.
One of the best ways to edit your writing is to take away words that you don’t really need. We call this “writing with concision”.

This challenge asks you to open an article you are currently working on and practice making it more concise.

Pro Tip
Even though it might seem that using more words means you are “more intelligent”, it’s often the case that using fewer words to express your main point makes your writing more sophisticated.
