Apple vs. Android

Who will win?

The battle between Apple and Android has lasted forever, but that’s about to change. I will be arguing whether Apple is better or Android is better. Apple and Android have been at each other for a very long time, and this is why. Both companies are toe-to-toe for consumer loyalty, mobile market dominance, and ecosystem control. Apple has been more popular and consistent, but Android has had more creative capability and wider hardware variety.

In my opinion, (as I have used both products) Apple is better because the design feels cleaner while also giving security and app variety. Android is considered to be less secure and just doesn’t give that clean vibe that Apple does.

Worldwide is a different matter, as Android overpowers Apple as Android is much more affordable than Apple. For people with less money, having a cheap phone like the Android can be a go-to choice which is why there are more people around the world that buy the Android.

Android includes more creative capability such as custom design for your phone and more filing space for more possibilities. Apple is second because they produce more high-quality products that can last for years and years, while still having a stable security system.

Google playstore makes ~50 billion, the App store makes about ~100 billion meaning Apple has the better App store that generates more money, but Android as a phone is more popular for their cheap price and higher level of creativity/hardware.

That is how some other people interpret this battle of the tech companies.

For the physical design, Apple is more praised. It is known for their sleek, consistent glass and metal design while also being durable. Android has more options for physical design such as folding form, and more variety so you can be more creative about your phone design. (images above. Apple left Android right.)

Overall, Android and Apple (iPhone) are basically the two big phone worlds, and they feel quite different. Android phones offer you much more freedom. You can customize from many choices, choose from a great variety of brands, and generally pay less for the phone. But yeah, sometimes it can feel a bit messy or inconsistent depending on the make and model. Apple is totally different. iPhones are more locked down and secure yet everything is very smooth and easy to use. Things just work well together, like with Macs or AirPods. The only disadvantage is they are very expensive and don't let you change much. So, it is kind of like: Android = flexible but a little chaotic, Apple = simple but somewhat strict. In places like the U.S., more people will buy the more expensive option which is more secure, but in places like China people may prefer more creative and cheaper phone options.
