inescapable

the same little worlds, 
the spirals of imagination, 
whispers from the broken pearls, 
and enough secrets to fill the ocean. 
a lie and a tragedy between every line,
invite me in, reach too deep.
a double edged sword with every rhyme,
a forgotten language, a song to never see light. 
castles and ruins and something else, 
glass crowns and icy eyes.
twinkling touches and lying little smiles, 
dancing feet across fading floors, 
hello, good night, did i ever say goodbye? 
made to lead and build and saves so many lives,
steel and iron and spinning knives, 
she will fight and fall and never cry, 
fighting, running, fleeing, 
there is no end, no middle, no beginning. 
rushing waves tumbling over the shores, 
shards and edges of flakes in snow, 
the rise and fall of tiny little worlds,  
will i ever really know?

the dragon will be slain,
